Indro Mukerjee
Chief Executive Officer
Indro Mukerjee joined C-MAC MicroTechnology as CEO at the end of 2005.
Indro started his career in management consulting in the technology sector, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and new product introductions. He then joined Hitachi’s European Semiconductor Division, where he moved into sales and marketing, operations and business management positions. At Hitachi he received two President’s Awards, first for starting up a successful business venture from scratch, and then for transforming the company’s customer service and logistics to best in class.
In 1993 Indro joined VideoLogic, an innovative PC- based multimedia/graphics venture company. As a member of the leadership team, he went through a successful IPO and developed a commercial infrastructure to support growth, opening new markets internationally and a successful joint venture in Japan.
In 1997, Indro was invited to join Philips Semiconductors, initially as General Manager of the European region, then leading the Consumer Market Group. He subsequently progressed to the executive management positions of Executive Vice President – Global Marketing & Sales, Chief Marketing Officer and then the overall general management responsibility for the strategic Automotive and Identification Business Unit.
Indro has a masters degree in engineering from Oxford University, is a graduate of the Wharton Advanced Management Program and speaks several European languages. He is married with a son.
Mike Round
Chief Financial Officer
Mike Round joined C-MAC MicroTechnology as CFO in 2005.
Mike trained as a chartered accountant with Spicer & Pegler, qualifying in 1983. He moved immediately into industry with Howson-Algraphy, part of Vickers Plc, and subsequently moved to I J Dewhirst Plc as number 2 to the Financial Director.
Mike took up his first CFO position in 1989 at Saint Group Plc, a privately owned office equipment company. Following a period of both organic and inorganic growth, Saint was acquired by Danka Business Systems Plc in 1993 and became the vehicle for the global expansion of Danka outside the USA. Mike was appointed CFO of this business and led the European acquisition team in acquiring 15 companies in the UK and six across Europe and Australasia. Over a four-year period, a business was created outside the USA with revenues of over £400 million.
In 2001, Mike joined Syscap Plc, a fast growing specialist provider of finance for IT hardware and software acquisitions, as Group CFO. In 2003 he was also appointed Managing Director of the computer rental business and oversaw the turnaround and subsequent sale of this non-core business.
Mike has a degree in civil engineering from Leeds University.
Ajay Shah
Ajay Shah is the Managing Partner of Shah Capital Partners and serves on the board of directors of C-MAC MicroTechnology. A technology executive with over 20 years of experience, he founded and managed the Technology Solutions Business of Solectron, a $2 billion business. He was CEO of Smart Modular Technologies, a company he co-founded in 1989 and led through its public offering in 1995, growth to over $1 billion in revenues, and acquisition by Solectron in 1999 for over $2 billion. He formed Shah Management in 2003, and has been a private equity investor in many transactions.
Ajay was elected Entrepreneur of the Year for Silicon Valley in 1997, and is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum. He has a BEng from University of Baroda and an MSc in engineering management from Stanford University.
David Stanton
David Stanton is a founder of Francisco Partners and serves on the board of directors of C-MAC MicroTechnology. He has been Managing Partner at Francisco Parnters since its formation in 1999, before which he had led the technology investing activities of Texas Pacific Group, a private equity fund, since 1994. Prior to joining Texas Pacific, he was a venture capitalist with Trinity Ventures, which specializes in investments in information technology, software and telecommunications companies. Earlier in his career, he was a strategy consultant with Bain & Company.
David has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, a BS in chemical engineering from Stanford University, and pursued PhD studies in materials science at Northwestern University, where he was a Cabell Fellow.
Deep Shah
Mr. Shah is a Principal with Francisco Partners and operates from FP's London office. Mr. Shah serves on the board of directors of C-MAC MicroTechnology, DarwinSuzsoft, Data Connection, and Ex Libris. Prior to joining Francisco Partners, Mr. Shah worked at Morgan Stanley in both their Mergers and Acquisitions group and the Princes Gate Investors private equity fund in London, where he was responsible for the identification, evaluation and execution of transactions in a variety of industries, including information technology.
Deep has an M.A. in Economics from the University of Cambridge, England, with First Class Honors.
