C-MAC MicroTechnology is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting at the All-Energy Exhibition at the AECC, Aberdeen on 21st and 22nd May.

C-MAC will be on the East of England Energy Group (eeegr) Stand no. A34.

 

 

All-Energy is the UK's largest renewable energy event. It combines a major renewable energy exhibition and a conference covering all renewable sources and the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.


C-MAC MicroTechnology is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting at the SMT Hybrid Packaging Exhibition and Conference in Nuremberg from 3rd - 5th June 2008

C-MAC will be in Hall 9, Stand no. 408.

 

 


Pupils from Lynn Grove School, Great Yarmouth visit C-MAC MicroTechnology

A group of 20 GCSE Electronics students from Lynn Grove School recently visited C-MAC's Great Yarmouth site. They were given a presentation by C-MAC's engineering team and were then shown round the offices and the factory. The visit was an opportunity for the students to learn more about C-MAC's thick film technology which is incoporated into electronic components for harsh environments. The visit also enabled them to see practical and commercial electronic engineering first hand.


C-MAC MicroTechnology hosts influential debate on engineering skills shortage in the UK.

C-MAC MicroTechnology hosted a topical debate on the engineering skills shortage in the UK on 17th October 2007 at The Landmark Hotel, London. The debate was chaired by Indro Mukerjee, CEO of C-MAC MicroTechnology and attended by leading figures from industry, academia and the unions.

Indro Mukerjee, CEO of C-MAC MicroTechnology, opened the new Technology Excellence Centre at
Thorpe St Andrew School, Norwich on 25th September 2007.


The new Technology Excellence Centre

 

Indro Mukerjee, CEO of C-MAC MicroTechnology, opened the new Technology Excellence Centre at Thorpe St Andrew School, Norwich. One of only eight in the country, the show-piece centre will be equipped with the latest equipment and teaching facilities and will be used by students and teachers across Norfolk.

Indro Mukerjee congratulated the school on their vision and determination in seeing the project through. He stressed the importance of encouraging and enthusing students to study technology and the importance of adapting to the continuous changing nature and demands of technology in the future. Ian Clayton, the School Principal, thanked C-MAC MicroTechnology for their support.

C-MAC also hosted a well-attended presentation at the exhibition entitled ‘The Future of Low-Cost Modular Electronics in Defence’ which covered the cost factors associated with electronics in the defence industry, as well as the benefits of introducing modular product solutions. Subjects covered included; the range of electronic component and packaging technologies, technology trends, time-to-market and obsolescence.

The presentation was given by two leading figures in their field: Matt Howchin, General Manager of Military and Aerospace at C-MAC MicroTechnology and Bob Hunt, Advanced Technology Development Manager at C-MAC MicroTechnology.
